Union Minister Kiren Rijiju slams Congress for neglecting Northeast during their 60 years rule

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on October 31 slammed Congress party for neglecting the Northeastern region during their 60 years rule. Calling the people of Northeast as simple and often misguided, the Union Minister stated that the people are emotional but no more misguided and that they should instead question Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party as why during Congress rule no protection was provided to Northeastern people, why the region was completely neglected and their rights abused?

Hailing the policies laid down by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rijiju while speaking to the reporters of the BJP manifesto released ahead of the Mizoram Assembly elections further stated that it is under BJP alone that the northeastern region can see prosperity and march with the rest of the country. 

"Our document Has clearly spelled out how we want to transform the life of the Mizo people. From proper drinking water for each household, proper electricity to proper roads in villages, highways, airports, railways, skill development, Hhealth, facilities, educational facilities, these are all important schemes and benefits people are receiving. I've asked some farmers. They've even received help under Kisan Samman Yojana. Youths are getting skill training under the programs launched by Prime Minister Modiji. We need BJP in the government here in Mizoram so that the implementation of the policies can be 100 per cent successful. 

Mizoram will be going for polls on November 7.
