Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar addresses Mizoram Legislative Assembly

The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, today addressed the 9th Mizoram State Legislative Assembly on Monday. This event was significant as it provided an opportunity for the Vice President to share insights, perspectives, and possibly key policy directives with the members of the legislative assembly in Mizoram.

As the second-highest constitutional authority in the country, the Vice President likely touched upon various aspects of governance, development, and cooperation between the central government and the state of Mizoram. His speech may have highlighted important national and regional issues, outlined government priorities, and emphasized the significance of collaboration between different levels of administration for the betterment of society.

Jagdeep Dhankhar's visit to Mizoram included attending the 18th Convocation of Mizoram University at the university campus before addressing the session at the Mizoram Legislative Assembly.

Earlier today, Jagdeep Dhankar graced and addressed the 18th Convocation of Mizoram University at the campus. Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Rector of MZU, Chief Minister Lalduhoma and Prof Prakash Bartunia were the Guests of Honour.

Before the commencement of the convocation program, the Vice President, on arriving at the MZU Campus had planted the sapling of the state tree - Media Ferrea.

Jagdeep Dhankar, in his convocation address, congratulated the hardworking students who are picking the fruits of their hard work, today. He wanted the students to be grateful about their good fortune of being among the generation when India is rising and growing faster than before and even set its goal to achieve Viksit Bharat 2047. He cited how easily it takes to become an entrepreneur in today's India and the existence of a healthy ecosystem inside and outside one's state for conducting business.
