Nagaland Minister Temjen Imna Along extends Rongali Bihu greetings to Assam

Nagaland's Tourism & Higher Education Minister, Temjen Imna Along, showcased his cross-cultural camaraderie by extending Rongali Bihu greetings to the people of Assam through a vibrant social media post.

Taking to the microblogging platform X, Minister Temjen Imna Along shared a delightful message, expressing his warm wishes for the Assamese community. In a  post, he wrote, "অসমীয়া বন্ধু সকললৈ ব'হাগ বিহুৰ শুভেচ্ছা জনালোঁ… কঁকাল ভাঙি ভাঙি নাচক," which translates to "Greetings to Assamese friends on Bohag Bihu... Break the waist and dance."

Accompanying his cheerful message was a still picture from the popular Bihu song "KINU SAWONIRE" from the movie JAANMONI 2008. However, what caught the attention of netizens was the playful twist in the image. The cartoon depicted Minister Temjen Imna Along alongside a girl adorned in traditional Bihu attire, with Temjen's character sporting his signature Superman outfit, except with a 'T' replacing the iconic 'S'.
