A passenger was apprehended by customs department officials at Delhi airport for attempting to smuggle drones and other electronic goods including mobile phones on Friday.
The accused have been arrested along with 4 DJI drones with camera, 4 Mi drones with camera, 6 Apple iPhone 11 Pro (256 GB), 3 Apple iPhone 11 Pro (64 GB), 10000 memory cards. The seized items worth Rs 26,25,000.
According to the official statement of the customs department stated, “A person was intercepted on Friday while he was crossing the Green Channel during the day after he reached Delhi from Hong Kong. A large consignment of drone, mobile phones, and memory cards was found from the luggage of the accused.”
Reportedly he was arrest after failing to produce any valid bill for the electronic items.

It is suspected that the accused was involved in the smuggling of electronic items from Hong Kong and sold the smuggled items at local shops in Delhi.
On interrogation about the smuggled electronic goods, he confessed to smuggling 10,000 memory cards from Hong Kong on his previous stint.
