BJP will not remove reservations, will not allow Congress to do so, says Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on May 1 said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will never do away with reservations for Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Class, adding that it will not even allow the Congress to do so.

Addressing a rally in Katghora town of Chhattisgarh, Shah alleged that Congress' tactic was to lie repeatedly. He advised its president Mallikarjun Kharge not to speak lies for the sake of the "family" (referring to Nehru-Gandhi family) as eventually he would be blamed for its loss in the Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking at the rally in support of BJP candidate from the Korba constituency Saroj Pandey, Shah accused Congress of nurturing terrorism and Naxalism to win elections.

Furthermore, he also alleged that the Congress' formula has always been to speak lies loudly and repetitively. He also advised Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge not to speak lies for a family because later, he will be blamed for its loss in the Lok Sabha elections.

"Congress speaks lies and keep repeating it. If Modi ji wins for the third term, he will scrap reservation they said and they circulated my fake video. We have been in power for 10 years, Modi ji didn't remove reservation and he won’t do it in future," Shah said.

Amit Shah also reminded that Prime Minister Modi scrapped Article 370 and triple talaq, constructed the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and also introduced the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Shah also assured that Naxalism will be brought to an end within two years in Chhattisgarh if Modi becomes the Prime Minister again.

He also attacked the older Bhupesh Baghel-led government in Chhattisgarh for encouraging Naxalism. He said that 95 Naxalites were eliminated within four months of the BJP coming to power in the state under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy CM Vijay Sharma.
