Randeep Singh Surjewala, a Rajya Sabha member and leader of the Congress, is accused of using insulting language towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its supporters, referring to them as "Rakshas."
Several BJP leaders have responded strongly to Surjewala's comments made during the Sunday Congress "Jan Akrosh rally" in Kaithal, Haryana.
Addressing the crowd, Surjewala commented, "Even if they don't provide jobs, at least give them the opportunity to retain their current positions. Those aligned with the BJP and the JJP are termed 'rakshas' (monsters), and the same label is applied to those who vote for and support them. Today, I express my disapproval from this land of Mahabharata."
