Goods train derails in West Bengal's Ranaghat, restoration work underway

A goods train derailed in West Bengal's Ranaghat on Sunday, July 21. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

Earlier in the day, another freight train traveling from Alwar Goods Station to Rewari derailed on the Mathura track at approximately 2:30 am. Railway authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the derailment, as reported by news agency ANI.

In a related incident on Saturday, a goods train derailed between the Ghaziabad and Moradabad sections of Uttar Pradesh, resulting in at least seven coaches going off the tracks. Officials indicated that this derailment occurred in the Amroha yard of Moradabad district. Restoration efforts are currently underway to resume normal train operations in the affected areas.
