Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also the BJP's co-in-charge for Jharkhand, visited Gaibathan village in Pakur on August 1.
CM Sarma highlighted that under the SPT law, Adivasi land cannot be transferred, however, two Bangladeshi infiltrators had illegally taken over Adivasi land.
Despite a court order for the removal of the infiltrators and the return of the land to the Adivasi family, the administration has not acted, said CM Sarma.

When the Adivasi family attempted to construct a house on their land, they were attacked. Sarma urged the Adivasi Chief Minister of Jharkhand to assist the family.
He emphasized that infiltration is a reality in areas like Pakur and Sahibganj.
Earlier on July 31, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday came down heavily on the Bengal and Jharkhand governments for taking a ‘soft stand’ on the Rohingya infiltration issue.
Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Wednesday, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “West Bengal and Jharkhand governments have been soft towards Rohingya infiltration issue. Rohingyas are still utilizing the border situation of India and Bangladesh because large areas are porous. In Assam, we are still guarding but Assam is only a part of the India-Bangladesh border.”
