Man dies of heart attack while exercising in gym in Maharashtra | Caught on CCTV

A man suffered a fatal heart attack while working out at a local gym in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on July 20. The deceased, identified as Kanwaljit Singh Bagga, was captured on CCTV footage performing warm-up exercises alongside other gym-goers.

The footage reveals Bagga initially participating in the warm-up routine but soon showing signs of distress. Despite his visible discomfort, the surrounding group continued their exercises until Bagga suddenly collapsed.

Fellow gym members immediately rushed to his aid, but their efforts were in vain.

This unfortunate event underscores a worrying trend of increasing heart attacks in gyms, raising alarms among both fitness enthusiasts and medical experts.

Health professionals attribute this surge to several factors, including the rising intensity of modern workout regimes, undiagnosed underlying health conditions, and inadequate precautionary measures.

The incident has sparked discussions about the importance of health screenings before engaging in strenuous physical activity.

Experts emphasise the need for gyms to implement better safety protocols and for individuals to be more aware of their health status.
