Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today slammed Sharad Pawar's reported statement regarding India's stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Speaking to the media, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "I think Sharad Pawar will send Supriya (Sule) to Gaza to fight for the Hamas."
The statement comes after NCP chief Sharad Pawar censured Prime Minister Modi earlier this week for ‘standing with Israel’ and recalled India's long-term support for Palestine.

The remarks have since prompted a furious reaction from Union Minister Piyush Goyal who called for the former Defence Minister and CM to ‘think of the nation first’.
Meanwhile, Supriya Sule also reacted to the Centre's stand on Israel and said that India's policy on the Israel-Palestine conflict had been consistent until now.
"There was one policy when Indira Gandhi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee were prime ministers. India always had one line on this issue, but the Central government is now taking a different line. When such issues pertaining to external affairs arise, an all-party meeting should be held," she said.
