Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a potshot at the Congress party in an election rally in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh on November 8.
Addressing the gathering CM Sarma said, "Voting for Congress means encouraging the 'Babars' in the country. When Congress gets votes, 'Aurangzebs' get vitamins. If Congress wins, the Babars and Aurangzeb will start their atrocities on our people all over India. Congress won in Karnataka and from where the Babars and Aurangzebs got oxygen, I don't know, the chaos started. Congress wins and their mischiefs begin immediately. This is their politics... We have to reject the Hindutva of 'Chunavi' Congress..."

The BJP leader also asserted that the issues plaguing the nation are expected to escalate unless the Congress party is eliminated.
"Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma says, "... Digvijaya Singh speaks so much against the Hindus, I feel enraged. It is his fashion to speak against Hindus every day. Kamal Nath says he is a Hanuman Devotee and if Digvijaya Singh opens his mouth it is to abuse Hindus and when he closes his mouth, it is after abusing Hindus. There should definitely be a 'Kapda-faad' competition between them... The problems of this country will keep increasing until the Congress is eradicated from the country...," said Assam's chief minister.
