The world’s third-highest mountain peak Kanchenjunga is now clearly visible from Siliguri in West Bengal. With air pollution going down drastically, a lot of places have been witness to such unusual sightings recently.

For the citizens, it was no less than a magical moment. People were spotted enjoying the beautiful view, while some were busy clicking pictures from their smartphones and uploading them on their social media handles.

Apart from Siliguri, Kanchenjunga is also visible from Darjeeling and Kurseong. However, amid the ongoing pandemic, only a handful of tourists have been spotted in the hills.

Meanwhile, the tour operators and hotel owners are waiting for the situation to get back to normal.

This should definitely come as a lesson to all of us: that nature can do better if only we are more careful in how we treat it.
