All Sikkim churches together to organise a mega Prayer Summit on 22nd December 2023 instead of celebrating Christmas keeping the recent Glacier Lake Outburst Flood devastation in mind.
Summit is expected to attract nearly one lakh people.
President of the Organising Committee, Elder PW Lepcha said "Keeping recent devastation in mind due to GLOF we have decided not to celebrate Christmas instead we are organising a mega Prayer Summit on 22nd December 2023 at Paljor stadium. We were already given a green signal by CM P S Tamang and this time we are organising this summit coming together in all churches of Sikkim.
He also said an important feature of the summit is the renowned healer and preacher Paul Dinakaran will give his talk on 22nd December and there will be two bike rallies to spread awareness on the same before 22nd December.

He also shared "Not only from Sikkim but believers from neighbouring Darjeeling Kalimpong and other states are also coming to the mega prayer Summit and we are expecting a gathering of more than 1 lakh people.
Mr. Lepcha also requested the government to declare this kind of event a calendar event every year and seeing CM's respect towards us we are expecting CM to declare the same on 22nd December during the summit.
It was informed in a presser held today at EPCS church it was jointly addressed by the General Secretary Organising Committee, Andrew Chettri, Mahendra Sewa, Publicity Secretary, Central Committee of the Celebration Committee, Stefan Karki, Program Coordinator.
