Om Prakash Mathur takes oath as Sikkim Governor

Newly appointed Governor of Sikkim, Om Prakash Mathur took oath of office, on July 31, at the Raj Bhavan, Gangtok. 
 

Chief Justice of the High Court of Sikkim, Bishwanath Somadder, administered the oath of office to Mathur.
 

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, cabinet ministers, MLAs, and top-level bureaucrats.
 

Governor Om Prakash Mathur, who succeeds Laxman Prasad Acharya assured to discharge his duties with utmost dedication and integrity, upholding the Constitution and laws of the land.
 

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang welcomed the new Governor and expressed hope that his tenure would bring prosperity and development to the state.
 

The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in Sikkim's governance, with Governor Mathur poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the state's future.
