Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, during the Technical Session 1 of the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav at New Delhi's Bharat Mandapam, shared his vision for progress in the Northeast.
The panel discussion, moderated by Sanjay Pugalia, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of AMG Media Network, featured key dignitaries, including Union Minister of DoNER, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia; Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.
The session revolved around the theme 'Towards Prosperity: Catalysing North East’s Progress for a Viksit Bharat.'
In his address, CM Tamang highlighted Sikkim’s achievements in sustainable development, organic farming, and eco-tourism, positioning these initiatives as models for inclusive growth across the North East region.
He emphasised the importance of regional collaboration, infrastructural investment, digital connectivity, and youth empowerment to harness the North East’s potential for national progress.
The Sikkim CM also lauded the efforts of the Ministry of DoNER in promoting regional development and reaffirmed Sikkim’s commitment to the Ashtalakshmi Vision, which seeks to transform the Northeast into a significant contributor to India’s future growth.
The discussion reflected the unified commitment of the leaders to building a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable future for the North East, aligning with the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
