Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang awarded for 'outstanding contributions to state and its people'

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang was honored with the prestigious Gorkha Gaurav Samman on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of Darpan Publication for his outstanding contributions to the state and its people.
 

During the ceremony, CM Tamang also unveiled the Sikkim Edition of Himalaya Darpan, a Nepali daily newspaper published by Darpan Publication. 
 

The edition marks a significant milestone in the publication's history, catering to the Nepali-speaking population in North Bengal ( Darjeeling) and Sikkim.
 

In another significant achievement, Sikkim Tourism was awarded for excellence in eco-tourism at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) held in Kolkata. 
 

This accolade recognises Sikkim's efforts to promote sustainable tourism, positioning it as a leading ecotourism destination in India.
