Sikkim is gearing up for a spectacular 'Har Ghar Tiranga' celebration, as Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang emphasizes the significance of the occasion. He has extended a fervent appeal to citizens to embrace the festival's spirit, aligning it with their duty towards the nation.

Highlighting the importance of both rights and responsibilities, Chief Minister Tamang remarked, "As citizens, we often focus on our rights, but it's imperative that we equally embrace our responsibilities. I urge all citizens to observe 'Har Ghar Tiranga' not just as a celebration, but as a duty."

Addressing the press on the occasion of International Youth Day, Chief Minister Tamang underscored the pivotal role that young individuals play in shaping the nation's future. He congratulated the youth of Sikkim and emphasized their essential role in national progress. "The youth are the backbone of our nation, and their direction will determine the course of our nation's growth," he stated.

Reiterating the government's commitment to supporting the youth, Chief Minister Tamang affirmed, "We assure the youth of Sikkim that the government will extend every possible assistance for nation-building. We call upon the youth to actively participate in this endeavor."

Recalling last year's triumphant 'Har Ghar Tiranga' celebration, Chief Minister Tamang announced that this year's festivities will be held on August 13, 14, and 15. The event will resonate across various government offices, while every household is encouraged to hoist the national flag.

Chief Minister Tamang took a reflective journey back to the inception of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) in 2013. He shared, "Our party has always championed the cause of youth empowerment. We have consistently provided opportunities to young minds, and this commitment will endure." Looking ahead to the upcoming elections, he assured that the youth will remain at the forefront of the party's agenda.

Chief Minister Tamang is set to kickstart the celebrations in his hometown of Chakung on August 13. Subsequently, the Governor will herald the nationwide festivities from August 14.
