Sikkim: Second bridge over Teesta completed ahead of deadline

In a major boost to re-establishing connectivity in North Sikkim, the second bridge on the Teesta River has been completed a day before the deadline. 

The news was shared by the Indian Army's Trishakti Corps which has been heavily engaged in establishing connectivity in the regions of Sikkim which were devastated by the recent flash floods. 

Taking to social media platform X, the Trishakti Corps said, "Toiling hard day in and day out, the Sappers constructed the bridge at Mangan - Sanklang on 26 Oct 23 in just four days! The first bridge was completed on 22 Oct 23. The two bridges were inaugurated by Mr Pintso Lepcha, MLA of Dzongu, North Sikkim on 27 Oct in the presence of officials of Indian Army & BRO."
