Arshad Nadeem won gold with a record-breaking javelin throw of 92.97 meters, securing his place as sixth all-time.

The Indian hockey team has accomplished something extraordinary after more than 50 years after they won 2-1 against Spain in the Paris 2024 Olympics, earning the bronze medal in men's hockey. This victory also marks the first time since 1972 that India has secured Olympic medals in men's hockey in back-to-back Games.

The Indian men’s hockey team achieved a 1-1 draw against Argentina in their second Pool B match at the Paris 2024 Olympics on July 29. Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh equalised with a late penalty corner after Lucas Martinez had given the Rio 2016 champions the lead in the second quarter. With one win and one draw from their two matches, India currently sits third in Pool B with four points.

<p>The entire team bowed down in front of the goalkeeper as show of their respect after the match.</p>


<p>Harmanpreet once again successfully converted a penalty corner, putting India ahead, from where Spain never recovered.</p>


<p>Captain Harmanpreet Singh stepped aside, allowing Amit Rohidas to take the shot, but he missed the target.&nbsp;</p>
