He began his career in 1987 as an Apprentice Engineer at Loktak Power Station in Manipur, under the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC).

Throughout his distinguished career at NHPC, Bose has been instrumental in the execution and management of several key hydroelectric projects. His contributions span both construction and operational phases of significant projects, including the 60 MW Kurichu project in Bhutan, the 300 MW Chamera-II project in Himachal Pradesh, the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower project in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, the 4 MW SIMI project in Arunachal Pradesh, the 66 MW Loktak Downstream project in Manipur, and the massive 2880 MW Dibang project in Arunachal Pradesh.

In his leadership roles, Bose has successfully overseen the operations of major power stations such as Chutak Power Station in Ladakh, Loktak Power Station in Manipur, Dibang Multipurpose Project in Arunachal Pradesh, and Dhauliganga Power Station in Uttarakhand. Additionally, he was pivotal in commissioning the TLDP 3 power station, showcasing his adept project management and operational capabilities.

Bose's professional excellence extends beyond technical achievements. He captained NHPC's football team during his time at Loktak Power Station, reflecting his leadership skills and commitment to teamwork.

The engineering community in Tripura has warmly welcomed Bose's elevation, viewing it as a recognition of local talent and a boost to the state's expertise in the energy sector. His comprehensive technical knowledge, proven leadership, and adherence to ethical standards are anticipated to drive TSECL towards enhanced performance in power generation and distribution.

Bose's international exposure, including stints in Sweden and France under the Transfer of Technology program, highlights his dedication to integrating global best practices into Tripura's energy infrastructure. His leadership is expected to foster significant advancements in the state's energy sector, ensuring sustainable growth and development.
