Tripura Police has detained six Bangladeshi nationals from Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala.
Speaking about the issue, Airport Police Station Officer-In-Charge Abhijit Mandal said that they had received a tip-off about some women who were roaming in and around the MBB Airport premises on a suspicious basis.
“After receiving the inputs about six women of roaming suspiciously, we rushed to the spot. When we interrogated them they have revealed that they entered in Tripura without any passport and they were Bangladeshi nationals. We have detained them and brought them back to the Police Station”, he said.
He said that the six women were en route to leave the state for some other destination.
