Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are arriving in Tripura to address election rallies on April 15 and 17 for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Tripura has two Lok Sabha seats, including West parliamentary and East (ST) parliamentary seats where elections are slated to be held on April 19 and 26.
Additionally, on April 19, the by-election in the 7-Ramnagar Assembly Constituency is also going to be held.
Speaking exclusively with India Today NE, Tripura BJP chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said that following the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP is working tirelessly across the state and centering this, almost every day, over 1000 people are joining the BJP.
“We believe that in Tripura, the BJP will win with a massive majority and will fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of victory in over 400 seats,” he said.
Chakraborty further informed that following these elections, the central leadership is coming to Tripura.
“On April 15, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to arrive as our talks with the center are in a positive direction. If everything goes as planned, Union Minister Shah will address a gathering at Kumarghat. However, the final confirmation is yet to come,” said the BJP leader.
He further said that in the last 6 years, Tripura has witnessed massive development under the leadership of PM Modi.
“He has been working for all people. Whenever PM Modi has visited and whatever he has promised, he has fulfilled everything. On April 17, he is scheduled to arrive at 1 PM to address the people at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala. People are enthusiastic about this. Various subcommittees have been formed following the PM's visit. On the last day of the election campaign, we believe whatever he says, he will fulfill,” he added.
