Tripura police seize Yaba tablets worth Rs 10 lakh in Sepahijala, three arrested

The Tripura Police seized Yaba tablets worth Rs 10 lakh from Jatrapur under the Sonamura Sub-division of Tripura’s Sepahijala District.
 

Three individuals were also arrested in this connection.
 

The arrested persons were identified as Manik Mia, Modhai Shill and Prasanta Rai.
 

According to Tripura Police sources, the personnel received a tip-off late last night about a large cache of narcotics being smuggled.
 

“We received information that a white vehicle was transporting a large quantity of contraband. Based on this, we heightened our security to intercept the vehicle. When we attempted to stop it, the vehicle fled. After a chase, we managed to detain the vehicle,” said a police official.
 

Upon searching the vehicle, the police discovered a bag full of contraband items.

“We have seized 9,500 Yaba tablets worth Rs 10 lakh and arrested three individuals,” said the police.
