Tripura: Two Bangladeshi, 4 Indians held at Agartala Railway Station

The Government Railway Police Station (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) have detained two Bangladeshi nationals and four Indian individuals believed to be touts at Agartala Railway Station.

Speaking with reporters, Officer-in-Charge of the Government Railway Police Station Tapas Das said that they had received information about some illegal Bangladeshi nationals travelling to Agartala by the Kanchanjunga Express.

“They are coming to Agartala to cross the border illegally using touts. Based on this information, the GRP and RPF set up a checkpoint at all exit points of the railway station. When the train arrived, we found one woman and one man, along with four more persons, behaving suspiciously. We detained them, and during interrogation, they revealed that two of them were Bangladeshi nationals and the rest were residents of Tripura.
