Archaeological sites of Northeast India 

Unakoti Heritage site, Tripura Unakoti means one less than a crore and it is said that many rock-cut carvings are available here. 

Sri Surya Pahar, Assam The site is a hilly terrain where several rock-cut Shivalingas, votive stupas, and the deities of Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain pantheon are scattered in an area of about one km.

Stone Memorial of U-Maw Thodur-Briew, Meghalaya  Built of large megalithic stone, the stones are classified as menhirs (vertical stones), dolmens (horizontal stones), and cairn, with menhirs usually the most gigantic in size.

Thembang Fortified Village, Arunachal Pradesh Thembang is home to many historical structures, with the most important being the 12th-century Dzong (fortified building).

Ahom Raja's Palace, Assam Garhgaon was the home of the Alom dynasty. The palace was built by king Rajeswar Singha in 1752 CE.

Willong Khullen Megalithic site, Manipur Located in the Willong Khullen village, a group of massive stone erections lies on a hill slope only 39 kms from Maram village.

Megalithic Bridge on the Um-Nyankanah, Meghalaya According to local legends, the Jaintia Kings gave orders to build this bridge during the  medieval period.

Pilak Archaeological Site, Tripura The place is a treasure house of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. There runs a hilly rivulet near the place which is known as Pilak Stream.
