Cartoons that faced a ban for 'Not So Kiddish Content'

Family Guy This much loved cartoon was banned in Iraq, Iran and several other countries due to moral censorship. There was the use of explicit language and sexual remarks that have been a topic of controversy for the show

SpongeBob Squarepants SpongeBob Squarepants had to face a ban in aroind 120 countries including USA and Russia due to its use of violence and foul language. Some portions of the show was too much for kids. 

Tom and Jerry Some portions of this much loved cartoon series faced a ban in several countries. The show had some scenes featuring alcohol consumption, smoking that were removed. 

Shinchan This all-time favourite cartoon faced a ban in India in 2008 for usage of foul language and sexual content

Peppa Pig One episode of Peppa Pig was banned in Australia as it taught to be friends with spider and bugs.

Shrek 2 Israel banned the cartoon for making fun of public figures and also giving sexual hint. While dubbing, the authors replace it with a popular Israeli singer, who is famous for his high voice. The joke didn't go donw well with the singer, David Dór who also sued the cartoon's authors

Pokemon Pokemon was banned on TV in Turkey, Japan and the Arab League as one of the episodes showed an explosion that had bright blue and red flashes with a frequency of 12 Hz. Many kids complained about their health and some even experienced partial vision loss and loss of consciousness

Steven Universe Steven Universe faced a ban by Kenya's Film Classification Board for being 'pro gay'. Defending the action, KFCB said in a statement the shows "are intended to introduce children to deviant behavious".

Cow and Chicken The show was banned in India because it showed cows at the receiving end of violence. Cow is considered a holy animal by some section of the society and hence the cartoon was not well recieved.
