Common Food Allergies

Cow's milk Babies and small children are most frequently affected by a cow's milk allergy. It’s one of the most common childhood allergies, affecting 2–3% of babies and toddlers.

Eggs The second most frequent cause of food allergies in children is an egg allergy. On the other hand, 68% of kids with egg allergies will outgrow it by the time they're 16 years old. 

Tree nuts An allergy to some nuts and seeds from trees is known as a tree nut allergy. It's a relatively prevalent food allergy that may affect up to 3% of people globally and 1% of people in the United States.

Peanuts Peanut allergies are quite widespread and can result in serious and even fatal allergic reactions, similar to tree nut allergies.

Shellfish Your body attacks proteins from the shellfish, sometimes referred to as crustaceans and mollusks, families of fish. This condition is known as a shellfish allergy.

Wheat An allergic reaction to one of the proteins in wheat is known as a wheat allergy. Children typically suffer the most from it. Although, by the time they turn 10 years old, children with a wheat allergy frequently outgrow it.

Soy Up to 5% of children have soy allergies, which are particularly common in newborns and young children under the age of three.
