Countries with no airports

Here's the list of the five countries that don't have airports.

Vatican City Vatican City is not only an autonomous city-state, but it is also the world's smallest country. The 109-acre site lacks its own airport, most likely because it is "enclaved" within Rome.

San Marino Similarly, although being bordered by Italian territory, San Marino lacks an airport. San Marino is the world's fifth-smallest country.

Monaco Monaco is the world's second-smallest country, surrounded on three sides by France and on one by the Mediterranean Sea. After landing at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport in France, you'll need to take a boat or a half-hour car journey to Monaco.

Liechtenstein As the world's smallest country with two borders (Austria and Germany), Liechtenstein also lacks an airport. Visitors must arrive by automobile, boat, or the popular train system from adjacent Swiss or Austrian rail stations.

Andorra Beautiful treks, climbs, and vistas are available in this micro-nation. Andorra's capital city, Andorra la Vella, is also Europe's highest-elevated capital city but lacks an airport.
