Gather some elastic bands, fabric scraps, scissors, and a needle with thread. Ready to get crafty?

Cut your elastic band to your desired length. Typically, 8-10 inches works well.

Pick some fun, colourful fabric scraps. Cut them into strips that are about 1.5 inches wide and the same length as your elastic.

Fold your fabric strip in half, right sides together, and sew along the long edge to create a tube. Turn the tube right side out.

Thread the elastic through the fabric tube. A safety pin can help guide it through easily.

Overlap the ends of the elastic and sew them together securely. Tuck the raw edges of the fabric in and sew the fabric closed.
