Eight major terror attacks in India

Pulwama Attack (2019) Pulwama attack was one of the deadliest terror attacks every carried out in Jammu and Kashmir. In the attack, at least 40 CRPF personne, were killed. A vehicle laden with an explosive rammed by a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist on a bus ferrying these jawans.

Uri Attack (2016) Heavely armed militant, who were reportedly from Pakistan, stormed an army base in Uri in Kashmir where 17 jawans were killed on 18 September 2016. More than army personnel were injured. After around three-hour gun battle, four terrorists were killed. It was one of the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades.

26/11 attack (2008) On 26 November, 2008, a total of 10 heavily-armed terrorists from Pakistan LeT based rocked the financial capital of the country in which around 166 people lost their lives and over 300 were injured. The terrorists carried attack at five locations in Mumbai.

Jaipur Blasts (2008) On 13 May. 2008, a series of nine bomb blasts in a span of 15 minutes in which around 80 people were killed and more than 170 were injured.

Blast in Train in Mumbai (2006) A series of blasts took place over a period of 11 minutes on 11 July, 2006 during evening rush hour on the Suburban Railway in Mumbai. The bals claimed 209 people lost their lives and over 700 were injured. As per reports, the attack was carried out Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Delhi bomb blast (2005) A series of bomb blast in Delhi claimed around 66 lives while more than 200 were injured. The blast took place in Sarojini Nagar, Paharganj and a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus in Govindpuri. It is believed that it was one of the biggest terrorist attack in India, outside Kashmir, since the 1993 blasts in Mumbai.

Parliament Attack (2001) Terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) attacked the Parliament comolex in which nine people were killed. The victims were five Delhi police personnel, a woman Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper, two Parliament watch and ward staff, and a gardener. Later, all five terrorists were shot dead.

Bombay blasts (1993) On 12 March, 1993, a series of bomb explosions in Mumbai took place which claimed around 257 lives and more than 700 persons were injured. As per reports, Dawood Ibrahim was the main accused in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case. A series of 13 bomb explosions brought the city's most iconic buildings to its knees.
