Established on July 1, 1862, it is one of the oldest high courts in India and has jurisdiction over the state of West Bengal and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Calcutta High Court (1862)

Founded on March 17, 1866, it is one of the oldest high courts in India, with jurisdiction over the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Allahabad High Court (1866)

Established on August 14, 1862, it is one of the oldest high courts and has jurisdiction over the states of Maharashtra and Goa, and the Union Territories of Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

Bombay High Court (1862)

Formed on July 15, 1862, it is one of the oldest high courts and has jurisdiction over the states of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Madras High Court (1862)

The forerunner to the Madras High Court, it was established on June 26, 1862, and had jurisdiction over the presidency of Madras, which encompassed the current states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
