The temple was built in the Hemadpanti style of architecture and is dedicated to Harishchandreshwar.

 The Kedareshwar cave, which is located near Harishchandragad, in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.

The Saptatirtha Pushkarni, alternatively known as the Seven Waters, is located in the eastern part of the temple and is actually known for its medicinal abilities.

Only one of the four pillars that once surrounded the Linga still stands in its complete, original form.

It is believed the pillars Satya, Tretha, Dwapara, and the Kali Yuga, are emblems of yugas or periods of time.

A pillar is believed to break off at the end of each yuga.

The current pillar is thought to represent the Kali Yug, which is the very last yuga.

 As a result, there is a belief that the world will end when the final and surviving pillar breaks.
