"National Identity" (NID) card is a compulsory electronic biometric identification for all citizens at the age of 18 and above

Bangladesh

Compulsory to be issued since the age of 18. It is usually issued, for civilians, by the secretariat of public security of each unit of the federation, but other – including the Armed Forces, the Police and some professional councils – can issue alternate identity cards, too.
