Owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams 

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Chennai Super Kings is owned by N Sirinvasan who owns India Cements. The team has emerged as champions on four occasions in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021 under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) Punjab Kings is jointly owned by Ness Wadia of the Wadia group and Preity Zinta. The team is also co-owned by Mohit Burman and Karan Paul. However, the face of the team is Preity Zinta. 

Delhi Capitals (DC) Delhi Capitals is jointly owned by the GMR group and the JSW group with an equal stake. Earlier team was known as Delhi Daredevils in 2008. However, the name was changed two years back after JSW group bought 50 per cent stake. Parth Jindal is the youngest IPL owner with an equal stake shared by GMR.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) Rajasthan Royals is co-owned by Manoj Badale which holds 65 per cent, RedBird Capital 15 per cent, Lachlan Murdoch 13 per cent.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is owned by Vijay Mallya who owns the major stake in United Spirits. The team has not been able to grab the title ever since its inception. However, it has been runner's up on three occasions in 2009, 2011 and 2016.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Kolkata Knight Riders or KKR is co-owned by Red Chillies Entertainment and Mehta group, with Red Chillies having a major stake. The team has won the title on two occasions i.e in 2012 and 2014 under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Sun TV is the owner of Sunrisers Hyderbad since 2013 and the team has won the title once in 2016 and the second in 2009 when Sunrisers Hyderabad was know as Deccan Chargers. Sun TV is one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the country with 32 channels and 45 radio stations.

Mumbai Indians (MI) Reliance owner Mukesh Ambani is the sole owner of the Mumbai Indians. MI team is the most successful franchise with five IPL trophies. The MI is also the second richest sports team owner in the world.

Gujarat Titans (GT) Gujarat Titans or GT was founded in 2021 and is owned by CVC capital. The home of Ground of GT is Narendra Modi Stadium.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) was founded in 2021 and the team based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The team plays its home matches at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow and is owned by RPSG Group.
