Northeast's Ten Busiest Airports 

Known as the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, it is the primary airport of North-East, and the 12th busiest airport of India.

It is a domestic airport serving Shillong. It handles air traffic to all the northeastern states and also has a flight to Kolkata.

Jorhat Airport is a domestic airport serving the cities of Jorhat and Golaghat in Assam. It has flight connecting to Guwahati and Kolkata and occassionally to Bengaluru.

It is a domestic airport serving Chümoukedima–Dimapur and its neighbouring areas. The terminal building can handle 500 departing and 300 arriving passengers. There are plans for expansion of the airport to meet international norms.

It is a domestic airport serving Silchar, Assam. It is the fifth busiest airport of the north-east. Silchar Airport is 43rd busiest in cargo transportation in India.
