Kamakhya Temple is the most renowned temple in Assam.  It is one of the Shakti Pithas which is devoted to the worship of the Goddess Kamakhya.

Dhekiakhowa Bornaamghar Temple, Jorhat

Established by saint cum reformer Madhavdeva, Dhekiakhowa Bornamghar is a famous namghar in Jorhat district of Assam.  It was established in the year 1461. 

Da Parbatia Temple, Tezpur

It is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Assam.  The door’s framework with the stunning carvings and imprints, which are believed to be the part of the architecture patterns famous during the early Gupta School of sculpture. 

Sukreswar Temple, Guwahati

One of the famous Shiva temples in Guwahati, the Sukreswar temple is located on the Sukreswar hill in Guwahati.  The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and dates back to the 18th century. 

The Mahabhairab Temple is situated on a small hill top in the northern part of Tezpur.  The original Mahabhairab Temple was built by Asura King, Banasura out of a stone.
