Top six museums in India 

National Museum Delhi National Museum Delhi is one of the largest museums of India and it has diverse articles from the magnificent ancient era. The museum was constructed in 1949 on the corner of Janpath in Delhi. From here one can come to know about the luxury coaches of trains, which were a long time back used by the great kings.

Indian Museum Kolkata Indian Museum, which was founded in Kolkata by the Asiatic Society of Bengal, includes a distinctive collection of armour, skeletons, Mughal artwork, and jewellery. It is divided into six divisions, each of which houses a gallery of artistic and creative work.

Government Museum Chennai Government Museum Chennai was founded in 1851 and features a variety of displays on geology, zoology, anthropology, and botany. The museum also features eras of the Chaulkyas, Chola, and Vijaynagar of south India.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Museum Mumbai The museum was constructed in the early of the 20th century and it is divided into three major sections, including those on archaeology, natural history, and art. Each section shows a variety of work of arts dating back to Gupta and Chaulkyas era.

Salar Jung Museum Hyderabad Salar Jung Museum, an art gallery in the lovely city of Hyderabad, houses a collection of works of art from China, North America, Egypt, Nepal, Europe, Burma, and India, including paintings, fabrics, metallic artefacts, clocks, and carvings.  

National Rail Museum Delhi A fantastic collection of more than 100 genuine-size of diplay of Indian Railways may be found at the National Rail Museum. It occupies a 10 acres of land in Chanakyapuri.
