Unusual African tribe that bathes in cow urine to maintain cleanliness

The Mundari tribe is made up of mostly cattle breeders and fierce warriors. Nothing is more important to them than their cows.

The tribal people bathe in the urine of their cows to avoid all kinds of infections

The Mundari are a small tribe from South Sudan.

The cows that clan members own are a sign of their wealth, status in society and dowry.

At night, people cuddle up with their pets, clean them with ash, and fluff up the ground for them.

The tribe's herders spend a lot of time on the banks of the Nile taking care of their valuable livestock.

They think that cow pee is a natural antiseptic that can keep them from getting sick, so they use it to wash themselves and their hair, which turns a bright orange colour.

At the same time, huge piles of manure are being set up to be burned. As a final step, the herders would rub the all over their bodies with peach-colored ash.

This not only keeps them from getting sick but also protects them from the sun.
