World's highest jumping animals

Hare One of the swiftest creatures, hares are also exceptionally good jumpers.  They can move at speeds of up to 72 kph (45 mph), making it challenging for predators to capture them.

Bharal One of the top animal jumpers is the Bharal, which is a species that lives in the Himalayas. They have developed the ability to leap from cliff to cliff and hill to hill.

Klipspringer A Klipspringer can leap ten times higher than itself and is around 1.5 metres (5 feet) tall. When compared to their size, they can jump higher than any other animal.

Grasshopper Grasshoppers have a 20-times body-length jump capacity. That is the same as being able to jump as far as a basketball court!

Kangaroo Rat The Kangaroo Rat has a staggering 45 times body length leap capacity! Compared to their size, they are the animals with the largest vertical leaps.

Froghopper Froghoppers can jump 70 times their body height. They initially accelerate at 4,000 metres per second, within a millisecond reaching a take-off velocity of four metres per second!

Jumping Spider The jumping spider has a 100-fold vertical leap capacity. Imagine someone jumping two jumbo aircraft' length!

Tree Frog Tree frogs are the second-longest leaping animal relative to body weight because they can jump 150 times their own body length.

Flea Fleas can jump 220 times their own body length and 150 times their own body height!
